Thong Bikinis

When you hear the words “thong bikini” a certain image tends to come to mind.  While those smaller thong bikinis are still very popular, there is a new breed of thong bikinis emerging, too.  The newer thong bikinis that are emerging have extra elements of style that set them apart.  For example, the bikini seen pictured here has crystal-studded accents added to the thong bottom.  Those sparkling accents along with the pairing of a Sweetheart top give this thong bikini a more luxurious look than a plain g-string thong bikini.  When considering thong bikinis this summer, don’t forget to factor in the gorgeous swimsuits out there like this one.  After all, all thongs are not made alike!

Thong Bikinis

G-string thong bikinis continue to be a staple among thong wearers year after year.  The barely-there backside appeals to daring women for a few different reasons.  The biggest reason why some women are die-hard thong lovers is because they love to show off their sexy bodies.  Thong bikinis are among the most daring choices in swimwear.  Wearing one of these revealing swimsuits loudly proclaims the woman wearing it is not afraid to be bold.  These tiny bikini bottoms are also perfect for those who want to avoid tan lines as much as possible.  They usually have a low-rise front with string sides and a string backside.  In addition to style and convenience, many women consider thong bikinis to be the most comfortable, too.  Without much fabric to potentially feel binding, thong bikinis almost feel like you have nothing on at all.

Thong Bikinis

Our next spotlight in thong bikinis is on the whaletail thong.  This style is a nice choice for those women who like the idea of a thong, but they’re not quite sure about going all the way with a g-string.  The amount of coverage falls about halfway between a full cut bottom and a smaller thong bottom such as the g-string, so it’s a good place to start.

A whaletail thong bikini bottom has a low-rise front with thin string or strap sides.  The sides wrap around to the backside which is high-cut across the tops of the cheeks and forms a wide v-shape at the top that narrows to a thong.  This style can sometimes have a puckered stitch down the back to add contour to the rear.  Whaletail thong bikinis offer a bit more coverage while still showing off enough skin to keep up the sexy thong reputation.

Spotlight: Micro Thong

Tuesday, March 15th, 2011

We’ll do a series of posts spotlighting different kinds of thongs, and this week we’re going to start with the tiniest of them all; the micro thong.  The term micro thong is somewhat self-explanatory in that it’s micro, and it’s a thong.  However, with so many variations of the thong out there these days, let’s take a look at exactly what a micro thong looks like.

From the front, a micro thong is extremely low-cut, barely covering the private area.  The sides are generally string or very thin straps that sit at or below the hips and wrap around to the back.  For a micro thong, the back is most often a t-back style with another similar width string or strap running down the center of your cheeks.  Obviously this doesn’t provide a whole lot of coverage, so it’s definitely not for the faint of heart.  If you think you have what it takes and want to give this look a try, here are a couple words of advice.

First, you should double check decency laws to make sure a bikini this revealing is legal in public areas, such as beaches.  It would be a real bummer to end up getting hassled when you’re just trying to enjoy a day in the sun.  Next, proper grooming is incredibly important in something this sexy.  With a micro thong, a Brazilian wax is usually the best way to go for most women.  Use it as a great excuse to spend the day getting pampered at your local spa!  Come out not just feeling smooth on the outside, but also relaxed and rejuvenated on the inside.

Which Thong Bikini to Choose

Friday, March 4th, 2011

When you say the word thong, most people get a certain image in their minds.   The g-string and t-back thongs are probably the most widely recognized.  A g-string has a small amount of coverage in the front, connecting to string sides.  These wrap around to a small triangle of fabric in the back which then joins the center string.  A t-back is basically the same thing but with the rear triangle piece omitted.  These are the smallest and most revealing thongs.

Another, more recent style is the cheeky thong.  This is a great option for those who like the idea of a thong but aren’t sure about baring quite that much tush.  In the front, cheeky thongs offer similar coverage to their smaller cousins and have only slightly wider sides.  The back is high cut across the cheeks covering only the top portion of your derriere.  This creates that signature cheeky silhouette that more and more women have grown to love.

When deciding which thong is right for you, consider your body type and what you would most like to accentuate.  If you want to add more definition to your curves, the cheeky thong paired with a sweetheart top would look fabulous.  On the other hand, if you’re only interested in an even tan and oodles of attention, a t-back bottom with a triangle top is just the thing!  Picking the right one for the job will make sure you have a great day in the sun.
